How do you change your email/message preferences so that it doesn't automatically "mark as read" any message you look at?

I am not sure about changing the automatic settings but you can always go back and mark a message as unread. If you read a message, why is it that you would want it stay "unread"?

I don't believe there is an option to do this. After opening the message you can always go to menu > mark as unread.
