Email notification
Hey all, i've searched around, and still have a question. when i receive a new email, i know that if i dont respond, the red light will stop blinking after 30 seconds. but how do i make it so the message folder will still show me that i have a new message? i lump my emails and text all in the same folder for ease. heres my issue i guess. if i'm not near my phone, and i get a text or email, and its been say 5 or more minutes, there is no way for me to know that i received a new message. the icon on the home screen goes away as does the little red astrik on the message folder. is there an option somewhere to keep these notifications on the homescreen until i physcially check the message folder? thanks!:)

If you dont check the message the icon remains on the screen.
-
Sounds like you need something like BBAlerts to let you know you have messages.
-
My icon for new messages remain but the blinking stops after a while.
-
The icon doesn't disappear unless you looked at it so are you checking them by mistake lol.
-
The icon on my messages stays until I open the message. Once opened the icon goes away.

well, it seems like i'm still having the same kind of issue again. could the theme that i use be causing some of this? i'm using the verizon theme now, and when i get a new mail, after a few minutes, without me doing anything, the message auto opens for lack of a better word. i sent myself an email, and when i received it, my phone was on my desk. i did not mess with the phone for 5 minutes. then, i pushed the space bar, and there was no new mail notification on the homescreen anywhere. nothing on the message icon, and nothing up on top. any ideas?

The same thing just started happening with my device. Before yesterday I would have the red asterick on an unread folder. Now as soon as a new message comes in it doesnt have the asterick any more. What could be causing this? I also have a ying-yang theme but I've had it for a while.

i had actually started another post on this, i've still got the same problem.
i called att and they resent all the service books! had me delete all of them, not just the email ones. still no dice. i went back to an att theme, still nothing. i guess its just a quirk somewhere in the system. thats all i can figure. seems like some emails dont open automatically, most do. i'm at a loss.
