I have a BB8310...been having problems...and have pruplexed even the ATT "advance" techs....so my question is why on one BB83100 "edge" is in small letter and on a replacement phone using the same SIM card it shows EDGE?

problem I couldn't get photos..even though it's on my service plan.

I have other problems also but .... one issue at a time?

If your BB plan (BIS account) is shut off you will get 'edge' - as Garz said - no data. With BIS running you'll get 'EDGE'.

Keep the new one, EDGE is good.

if you are on t-mobile, you can get the BB Enabler activated on your account free of charge. That way you can receive MMS. with edge you can't get MMS. with EDGE you can.
