I cannot for the life of me, get my earbuds - and I've tried lots of different ones and even external mini speakers, get music or videos to come through them. It always goes through the speakerphone or earpiece. I've done a battery pull and even jiggled the cable but nothing.

I have 4.5.0.173 installed and even on my wife's curve with same OS, nothing.

I have read lots of threads about them not working, but no real fix.

Yeah, but for two phones (Curves) to not work.

Have you changed your housing unit or do you have the original on there still? If you have changed your housing unit, you more than likely damaged the headset jack. A lot of people have complained about this. If you haven't changed your housing then I would call your cell phone carrier to find out if there is anything they can do.

very true, this is not covered by the carrier. Once they find out that you changed housings....your s c r e w e d.

yah, but there are a lot of threads that indicate people having trouble with the headphone jack not working on all different models so I was hoping someone would know if this is a software issue or type of earbud issue that I had not seen.
