I've had my Curve for over 2 years now and in the last 2 weeks it has been powering off. At first it was just annoying, but now it is getting to be more frequent and my phone won't stay on for more than 30 minutes at a time.

When it powers off the only thing I can do to get it back on is plug it in to a charger. It won't turn back on with a battery pull. The battery meter still shows battery remaining when this happens so I'm not sure if this is a battery issue or not. My phone is basically useless unless it's plugged in. I just don't know what to do!

I would buy a new battery after two years...duh.

If that fails, time to upgrade.

AT&T has a nice Bold or you can get a Tour from Verizon if you are inclined to jump ship. I love my Tour.

Good luck....hope your BB stays on long enough to read this.

The battery sounds like it's toast, based on operation hooked to charger.

OEM batteries at nice prices here.

Thanks. I thought it was probably the battery, but figured I would check here first. Hopefully replacing it will work because I was trying to hold out on getting a new phone until the Onyx comes out!
