When I am using DTM to backup my BB, it seems to save a files in a split second and thats it.

There is no "processing" or "copying" time, and when I try to open the file its saved in, nothing happens.

    What am I doing wrong?

You might want to be more specific.

What OS are you running on your computer?
What OS version on your Curve?
What version of Desktop Manager (presuming that's what you mean by DTM)?
    What settings are you using?
What are you telling it to backup?
Are you doing full or incremental backups?
    Automatic or manual?

no. it backs up your settings, address book, calendar, messages, etc. databases.

it's a database backup, hence the speed. no need to backup every single thing in most cases.
