I currently have OS 4.5.0.97 not for Verizon wireless. I was wondering if I installed Verizon's OS 4.5.0.77 if the vendor file will be added to my OS. As of now when I plug in my 8330 to the desktop manager and go to the application loader it says downgrade next to all of the included applications. Eventhough it says this will the vendor file still be added or am I better off keeping my current OS? The reason I want to install the verizon version is because I have verizon and the current OS lags a lot at times.

The vendor file is irrelevant when loading the branded carrier's version.

Do you think that it will solve the lagging problem? Sometimes the hourglass shows for 3 minutes or so for no reason.

I am personally of the school of thought that it is always better
to have the release from your carrier.

If you need support or need to warranty exchange the phone it
will save you the trouble of having to downgrade or not getting
customer support to help you because it is not their officially
    sanctioned version.

Also, if you are having problems with the release you currently
have a different version (your carriers) may make all the difference.

So plug into application loader and "downgrade" all of the software would be best?

I think so. But I am one guy on a forum.

If the lagging is really bad, I say try it and see if it fixes it.
You can always go back up.

Yes, it fixed it on mine. But also when I don't restart my berry for a couple of days, it will contine to do so until i restart it.. Give that a try. And see what it does for you.
