I upgraded my 8320 from 4.2 to 4.5 yesterday and I love it so far, but my battery life seems worse. I had a fully charged batt this morning..I used the phone about 25 mins, & I'm down to 50% already. Is that normal?

I have noticed a slight decrease in battery life since upgrading to 4.5.0.69, but It is not that significant. On a day I wake up at 7am, I am down to 50-55% battery life, when It use to only be down to 70-75%.

When i first loaded it i noticed the battery life wasnt as good. But now after ive had it for a couple weeks it is starting to get better

I had no problem in 4.5 on my 8310. My batery life some what improved. I don't know about the 8320.

Why would there be such a difference in battery life? Some get better battery life, and some get worse.

Mine's so bad that I'm gonna have to go back to OS 4.2 just so my phone will last the day. Since my first post here, I went from 50% battery life to less than 20% now. I've used the phone maybe 20 mins since.

the reason it might get better is the device is using power smarter then the older os. ive even seen windows xp pro prolong life vs. windows xp home while on a laptop of course. its all in the config

Maybe it's an 8320 thing....hmmm...

It seems like the 8330 users had better battery life while the 8320 users didn't...

Mine has seemed to increase. I have been up since 9am, and my battery is only at 80% with constant texting.

Now the only thing I wasn't able to do was to wipe my Curve with JL_Cmdr. Windows kept giving me an error message and closing the JL window. I wonder if that would make a difference??

I have an 8330 and recently loaded OS 4.5.0.77 - I have increased battery life but the phone seems to lag more.

I just went from .66 to .77 today and the lag is LESS! Idk about battery life compared, since I just did it, but we'll see. I'm starting to think a lot of this might be specific device-dependent.

From 4.2 to 4.5.0.77 I THINK I have noticed much improved battery life. Before after a normal days use I would come home to around 80% power. Now I feel like I come home to 90% power. This is not scientificly proven, but I feel like I am getting better battery life.

Edit: I am at 90% after making several dozen texts, several short phone calls, several Facebook quotes, and maybe like a total of 10-20 minutes of browser usage. I pulled it off charge around 1:30 pm today.

my battery was kinda bad after the upgrade, but i just let it die all the way and recharged it and it was fine after that...
