I ran the Install Shield thing, selected for DM to open and clicked finish....nothing happened....

1. You already have that version installed.
2. The version you downloaded is not for your model of phone.
3. You didn't delete the vendor file.
4. You didn't click on app loader.

Just a few possibilities for you to check

most likely you didn't delete vendor file.

I went to the sticky thread under BB 83XX and downloaded the most up to date OS version 4.2.2 which was all in French.

I did delete the vendor file.

When I was downloading the new OS, I picked 8320 out of the drop down list.

I did click on App Loader.

I somehow lost the fuctionality of my camera. I'm trying to re-install the new OS to hopefully get it back.

you wouldn't have to delete the xml file unless it was another carrier OS

** Update**
I deleted the vendor file last night, at least I thought I did, but I just went back to the app loader thing and it was still there. As soon as I deleted it and hit the app loader...i looks like it's working now.

Trust me, I'll update the thread if something else goes wrong...
