If i click on the device manager it sees my BB is connected, but the DM won't connect. I've noticed if I close DM the password window comes up for the BB but goes away rapidly. Any idea?

Un-install and re-install.... If that doesn't work, personally, I'd downgrade, because there's nothing special about DM 4.5
