Is is true that the 8300's are discontinuing this summer? The gold one is already discontinued. My BB rep was explaining that the newer 8900 Curve is the replacement for the 8300 editions. Has anyone else heard this?

Eventually there will be a replacement to the 8300's but no way it will be dis-continued as soon as this summer.

I just wish I had known about this site before I bought mine. I would have bought an 8900. But I guess those will be obsolete soon, too.

The people at Verizon have stated their quantities of the 8330 are low, and the inbound amounts will continue to be low, as they do plan to phase it out sooner then later.

Not likely. Maybe they won't be selling them at stores but you will always be able to get them online.

Look at some of the older devices, 8700, 8800... They are still available online, at least with T Mobile, and they have been out since 2005 or 2006.

Sprint didn't had available the curve online for a while but now they have it back now.

It doesn't look like its going out of the market.
