I use Sprint, and I got an 8350i and it came loaded with apps to view and edit word, excel, and pdf files. I didn't like the super slow internet connection so i upgraded to a curve 8330, and i can't find the same apps. Am I missing something? or does the 8330 just not have these apps?
There's your problem. You need to upgrade from v4.3.0.127 to 4.5 or better. The newest 4.5 version is stickied at the top of this forum. Version 4.5 gives you increased functionality, including a copy of Documents 2 Go. There is still a limitation, though. You can only use Docs2Go to open word and excel files, not .pdf. For that, google BeamReader.
Before you update your phone, be sure to read the tutorials on this site and be patient during the process. I've done my phone three times now without a problem.
