I noticed this recently...when I dial from the address book using the answer key, it dials +16102223333 . What is the need for +1 prefix ?. On my other phones I just had to dial the number ?. Is there a way to remove the +1 being automatically prefixed ?

The "Smart Dialing" should takecare of that. It knows when to actually dial a 1: BlackBerry Connection - Personal Edition - December 2006
