I say uninstall that version, reboot, then install the 4.2.* version...

I hope you're not on Vista!

    Hello Navi,

What I am ultimately trying to do is this:

    1. Sync my outlook 2007 on my home laptop with my blackberry curve, which is on Vista. This has been successful.

    2. I then installed the same version of Outlook 2007 onto my work computer which is on XP Professional version 2002. For a time my blackberry curve synced successfully, then all of a sudden in Desktop Manager Outlook 2007 disappeared from "Available desktop applications".

    Any help would be great!

The device / desktop manager might be 'confused' since you are trying to sync with two versions of Windows. Albeit, it really shouldn't matter, but...

On the XP pc, try an uninstall of Desktop Manager, and a reinstall and see what gives...

Sorry, it did not work, Desktop Manager is still not detecting outlook 2007.
The stange thing is, at one point it did, but then all of the sudden it stopped.

The only clue I have is that the icon on my desktop that was Outlook 2007 suddenly just became an e-mail icon, and when I clicked on it it just opened up "Internet Options" instead.

To access Outlook 2007, I had to use "search" to find it and create a shortcut on my desktop.

Any suggestions? I can further clarify if need be.
    thanks for any help,
    Chris
