Ok, just got a new 8330 today,used to have an 8130. I downloaded the 4.3 OS on my computer so i can put some themes on my new BB. But now it says that my desktop manager cant detect any devices! This has never happened to me! Somebody please help! It wasnt doing this before i put the new 4.3 OS on my computer! HELP!!!!!!!

Wait - what do you mean you put the "new" 4.3 OS on your computer? The Verizon Pearl should already come with 4.3...? And are you saying you upgraded your DM or your device OS?

no my pearl had 4.2, so i put 4.3 because thats what my 8330 is. Im just saying,i plug in my BB,and desktop manager says it cant detect it!

By stating OS4.3. Is that the Desktop Manager or the Device Software.

Also, have you made sure that the Device Software is for the 8330.

OS 4.3 is the operating software on my BB. I used to get the error message"no additional applications found" when i tried to put themes on,so in an FAQ it said you have to download your operating software, to your computer also. I did that with my pearl,and it worked. I juat did that with my curve,and now its saying this.

So ok. Your DM version and OS's match up? And why are you trying to use the same DM software for your Pearl AND Curve?

When you open your DM and go to Help and then About Blackberry Desktop Manager and then the Device Software tab, what does it say?

If you are trying to use your Pearl DM, then yes. I think installing the Curve DM will solve your issues.

Remember not to confuse the two.

The Desktop Manager Software allows you to add apps, make back-ups etc. This is used for all blackberrys.

The Device Software identifies which blackberry you are using and must be the one specific to the device.
