I just downloaded the new .81 version and Im looking for the vendor file in appropirate location. Its not there, the only thing at the bottom is rimprogram.dll is that it?? Please help! Thank you!

Reinstall the OS (assuming you already did that and not just d/loaded it)
and then look in: c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

Easiest thing is just searching for vendor.xml on your C:\ drive unless your know the path.
