I recently bought a BB Curve. I assigned custom ring tones for my friends. The BB won't play them when they call, and when I look at the profiles for these friends the "custom phone tune" box is unchecked and I can't access the box to check it.

I have deleted the profile and recreated it, but it doesn't help.

Any suggestions?

Are you adding the ringtone to the person directly through the address book? Ie- editing their contact info?

Yes, that is exactly how I'm adding the ringtones. Should I be doing it a different way? If so, how do I do that?
