So today, my phone started acting really weird,i would hold the standby button for a few seconds, and instead of going to standby, the dialog box disappeared, and it stayed on, if i did hold it down for a long time, it would go into standby, but would come right back on if i let off the button. What is going on here?

Do a battery pull and if that does not fix it, come back in here.

I did pull the battery, and then it worked fine, but then started doing it again about an hour later.

I have noticed the only time that it doesn't go into standby is when i am running off a Wifi network ONLY If i have Tmo service, it doesn't do it, it will go right into standby, but if it is on wifi only, it won't go into standby. Any help here?

If you tracked it down to it being a WiFi On related issue, why don't you report it to RIM as a possible bug in the OS of the phone and just disabled WiFi to test and see if it'll solve your problems?

I turned off wifi and it still did it on tmo service, now no matter where I am at, it will barely go into standby mode. Should I be talking to RIM about this?

I'll call Tmo later in the day, i only had it for a few days when my dog chewed it up, and i got a new one under insurance, and now this, the first one was unavoidable, but i really hope this isn't an issue with the blackberry and my replacement phone was just defective.

Was the insurance replacement "new"? T-Mobile's insurance replacements have a tendancy to be trash refurbs in bad condition as apposed to "factory new".

It was in a sealed box just like when i bought it from the store. Is this covered under the warranty?
