- I have a 8300 Curve, our servers have the enterprise software and exchange. Everything works correctly but I would like to file messages. We have a file size limit on our servers so our Outlook has a rule to move new messages to a personal .pst file in order to save server space. Seems to me you should be able to file to a personal .pst file even if you had to use the BB desktop software. I asked our IT people about this and they stated we couldn't use the BB desktop software as everything synched wirelessly and if we used the software my BB curve would be confused as to the provile to use on whether it sychs wirelessly or by USB with desktop software. Is this correct? It would be a big timesaver if I could file messages without having to do so in Outlook.10-12-07 08:21 PMLike 0

Even with Desktop Manager you have to tell it to disable wireless sync, same on the device...
Nonetheless, this is not really going to help your large email / storage issue. if the rule is set in Exchange to move email of X size to a personal .pst, then nothing you can do. But, if it's just a rule in Outlook, then delete said rule - of course, make sure you're not violating the I.T Policy...10-12-07 10:21 PMLike 0 - I guess the reason I was using the desktop software was for the following. Without the rule to move from server inbox to local .pst inbox daily, you run out of your alloted space on the server and stop recieving emails. I get around 150 emails a day with attachments and by being able to file them on my bb and then synch to local .pst file through desktop software saves a tremendous amount of time each day as I travel quite a bit. If I have to file them to the server wirelessly, then I still have to file all of them each day when I connect with my laptop, which does not save time. The ideal situation would be not to be limited to server inbox size but unfortunately that is not an option. I am looking for any solution that will help me save time so any ideas would be appreciated.
