hey, im brand new here, i was wondering if any of u guys could help me with this problem!?

i have a blackberry curve, and it will randomly delete my call logs , texts and emails!!

now ive read a bunch of threads about this same problem when peoples memory is low BUT with my problem the free memory is still around 35 mb!! it never really dips lower then that around the times it deletes - lowest ive ever seen it was at about 29 mb !!!

me and my blackberry are in a love hate relationship right now , is there ANY way to fix this???

Maybe try a battery pull.. You already said the memory issue which is what I thought it was....

Do you have it set to delete after a certain amount of days? Though that wouldn't explain your call log deleting.

And are you sure it is 35 MB? Some people don't read the number correctly, and it'd actually be 3.5 MB, so that's why I'm asking.

hey guys thanks for the replies!

i do a battery pull almost every day it bumps the mem back up a BIT ! but sooner or later its back to my curve ruining the mood with this deletion crap lol

in the status file free thing it says: 33,487,489 bytes right now. its usually lingering around that number, the lowest i seen was around 28-29

n in the "about" it says the OS im running is 4.3.0.124 (platform 3.1.0.71)


this is the ONLY thing i dont like about my phone, i was tinking of a phone in the future - 9630 or Storm, do you think these would have the same issues?? i see this deletion thing alot with pearls/curves

You should update the OS to version 4.5. It has many enhancements and will give you more free space.

I had the same problem awhile ago, and it was happening because i would have too many apps running at once. So look out for that too.

To update, look at the stickied threads at the top of the Curve 83xx forum section.

On your PC go to BlackBerry - Update your Device Software
you will need the usb cable and takes about 20 - 40 minutes.
