- I was on ESPN looking as some NFL scores when the problem started.
The Jl Cmder would not connect and wipe.
After that I followed some instructions to go directly to the app loader through the command prompt in DOS. It gets about half done and the Curve restarts and immediately goes into constant reboot mode.
The error says: Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation.11-15-08 12:00 AMLike 0 -
- Wipe if you can, but when I had the problem the USB connection would come and go and not last long enough for a handshake.
I fear you may need to travel down this path

Good luck11-15-08 05:06 PMLike 0 - I see I posted some above and I was just posting on another thread http://forums.crackberry.com/f52/wha...-anyone-95755/ again as well.
I just posted the following there as well:
I have a BB Pearl that I was unable to revive after many attempts and much discussion in the How to recover a dead Blackberry thread which I posted above. After all my up down sideways wipe attempts it just ends up in a constant reboot cycle. I have the plan to give it another run using CrackUtil in the process as I read that in (I believe the aforementioned thread as something to try.)
Here's a jump to my post #154 in http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...tml#post739854
Here's some more, with a jump to #137 in http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...tml#post731079
and here's a jump to # 121 http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...tml#post722848
to name a few. I know some have dead ended and some have been able to finally recover their Berries. So, my next surgical tool I'm planning to apply is CrackUtil http://forums.crackberry.com/f35/crackutil-85617/
Also, if you post your specific problem on "How to recover a dead blackberry" Reed McLay will likely chime in and might be able to offer more help.
If you go to search forums / advanced search / key word search / search by title and type "nuked" you'll get some hits too that may or may not help.
maybe this search result is retained in this link http://forums.crackberry.com/search....archid=6475252
I feel your pain, it would be nice to revive the BB.

Maybe worst case is the BB is truly bricked and it's a hardware issue. Even with all the time I already spent a few months ago on that Pearl, I'm still willing to try again.
Hope something works out for you11-16-08 05:38 PMLike 0 - PROBLEM SOLVED

Apparently RIM knows there is an incompatibility with most T-mobile 8320 curves and the 4.5 OS.
After trying everything, I got free tech support from RIM that's normally $50/hr by calling through t-mobile blackberry technical support and requesting it.
The SOLUTION is to reinstall the 4.2.2.180 OS.
That solves the problem, no more constant reboot.
I was soooo mad, especially after 30 hours of troubleshooting (not including sleep).
I have the file on my computer if anyone needs to acquire it; just tell me how to distribute it.12-10-08 07:37 PMLike 0 - I'm so glad you were able to correct the error!! Congrats
I'm experiencing the same thing....except i am using an unlocked tmo 8320 and can't call tmo for support. i would love a copy of the earlier OS.
I'm a newbie myself and don't know how to suggest sending it. Crackberry community....any suggestions?12-15-08 03:22 AMLike 0 - i'm having the same issue. its in constant reboot mode. won't stay on for more than 30 seconds without it rebooting. does anyone have the 4.2 os?
