hi i have a curve 8330 and i would like to set it to "beep" whenever i get a txt messege. i have it set to beep in the profiles but it doesn't seem to work am i missing something? also i noticed it seems kinda slow when sending text's is this normal for the curve 8330? thanks
Yes, text messages should follow your profile. Remember that you have both in-holster and out-of-holster settings - is it possibler you are not setting both to do what you want? Or perhaps making changes in a profile other than the active profile?

With regard to texting speed, a long texting history for a contact or a lot of text messages can cause that. Try deleting some text messages, also consider lowering the number of attached messasges retained -
Options > SMS Text > Number of Previous Items = xx. Mine is set to 7.

Also in profiles select sms set it for tones or tones/vibrate ringtone and don't forget the volume level… I changed my theme and had set everything up but my volume was set to mute...
