I've got my camera set to take pictures at 1600 x 1200 pixel width yet it seems that I am getting horrible pictures taken at 528 x 400. I can't figure out why. Anyone else having this problem?

I always get asked if the pic came from my phone or my camera. Msmari is right, Superfine should be the setting.

    Camera Options :

    Default Flash : Auto
    White Balance : Auto
    Pic Size : Large
    Pic Quality : Superfine

    Viewfinder Mode : Normal
    Color Effect : Normal

Those are my settings and I get great pics!! Note : Some carriers cannot send MMS messages when file size is too large... make sure to change to Medium size if you want to send MMS

Don't forget to clean your camera lens every so often (I spritz some lens cleaner on a Q-tip and use that).

Yep, I had superfine on there but still the picture resolution should have been 1600 x 1200 and not the lower numbers. I was wondering if somehow the camera checks to see how much memory is on your card and lowers the MP number and resolution if it sense you're getting low. I had space although it wasn't a tremendous buffer. Current pictures with the BB are so-so.

My first Curve took great pics my second one is of lesser quality.
Anyway, if I wanted great pics I use my digital camera. Can't expect great pics from a camera fone.

If you zoom in it will make them fugly and lower the overall resolution. Make sure you don't zoom

Personally, I think had they made the "firing" button on the front versus the side of the BB it would have been more stable.

The q-tip idea for cleaning the lens is a great idea i'll have to keep that in mind

You can trigger the shutter by clicking the trackball or pressing enter on the keypad, not just the side button...

For a phone, pix are ok at max resolution and superfine. But, they're not as clear as they could be. Face it - regardless of pixel count, cell phones have pretty lame lenses.

Like I said, if you are yrying to zoom it just crops the resolution, it's not a true zoom

I agree that if I want to take a really good looking picture I will use my digital camera, but it kind of sucks that alot of phones in asia some in europe have between 5 - 10 megapixel cameras in them.
