I was thinking about buying this because of a scratch at the top of my case

    http: //cnn.cn/shop/blackberry-curve-8310-titanium-faceplate-lens-p-1864.html

It says it comes with lens, so can I just take my faceplate off, (along with the cracked screen) and put this one on? or is it like another lens under, (before getting to the LCD)?

Might be kind of confusing, but would this work? Or am i just better off buying http ://cnn.cn/shop/blackberry-curve-830083108320-silver-lens-p-1777.html

yes, you can remove the factory faceplate and swap it with either the complete unit which already includes a new lens, or go through the same effort to get the factory faceplate off then also have to change the lens out as well, which is held in by either glue or tape to the backside of the faceplate. If you have any scratches on your faceplate in general then a new faceplate would freshen things up for only another $13 or so...

you will need to get a Torx T5 screwdriver to get the faceplate off (available at Sears for $4 or so), and will need to be careful when removing the lower trim piece unless you buy a new one as well.

If the whole faceplate option is a different color than what you have now you will probably want that lower trim piece as well to match...

and there is just the plastic lens you can touch (and scratch) between the outside world and the LCD, to answer your question
