I was trying to download desktop manager software...downloaded the newest, and It wouldn't recognize my 8310. What version ought I use? I really need to sync my calendars and contacts.

I'm not aware of any problems with DM 5.0 and the 8310. You can try any earlier version, but I suspect your problem is something other than DM. If you are running XP, and you plugged your 8310 into your PC before you installed DM, you may have the wrong drivers loaded. Go to the same BB site where you found DM. Look for the BB USB and Modem drivers and download and install them. If you are running Vista this advice does not apply.

I reckon you require more info. The software is not recognizing the phone, despite the fact that I downloaded the driver from the Microsoft site.
