Is it possible to transfer phone numbers from the 8310 to a SIM card? I know other phone have the ability to do so, but I cannot find such an ability on the 8310.

I don't believe it can be done. Not that I've seen.

The only way you can add contacts to your SIM (at the moment) is by going to your address book, click menu, then click SIM Phone Book, then click menu, then click New and add new contact. At this moment you cannot transfer contacts over (you have to do them manually). Maybe v4.5 update will allow you too

Address Book > SIM Phone Book > New
