So far so good with my 8310. Only one thing has me puzzled. I added an MP3 to my music folder; went to my contacts/addresses and assigned the music as a ringtone to one of my contacts. THE PROBLEM: Its real loud. Is there any way to lower the volume for that ringtone? I know that in PROFILES / ADVANCED / (under my NORMAL profile), I can change general settings, but not for a ringtone that I assign to a specific contact. THANKS TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP. Regards.

Well I have an 8330 and I don't know how different that is compared to urs. But usually when I add custom ringers I can change the volume in the profiles, what you should do instead of customizing the normal profile, make a new profile altogether, maybe that might help you.

Use MP3Gain on your computer to alter the volume of the ringtone.

I have the same issue with one particular custom ringtone. What is the MP3Gain posted by Motorcycle Mama? Also, if you set up a custom profile as toomuchgame441 suggests, can it be assigned to one contact only?

Audacity can also be used to raise or lower the gain on mp3 files.
