Alright...I upgraded Monday to 4.5. Yesterday my 8310 decided to take on a demon and reboot every few seconds..I tried to fix it from a thread on here by reinstalling the OS, we reinstalled it 2xs and still nothing. I thought may if I tried to reinstall the original OS (4.2) then it may fix it...When I downloaded it this morning and tried to install it to the 8310, it still shows the version as 4.5?! What is the deal??? Does anyone know a way I can install the 4.2 back and it stick!!!!! Thanks!

Did you reboot the 4.2 first?

No, last nite we tried to install the 4.5 OS from my friends laptop at work..its the same one she used for everyone else's phone at work and they have no issues! Is that what your asking? I didn't try the 4.2 until this morning...

Did you use the Proper Upgrade/Downgrade procedure at the link in my sig? What DM are you using.

What I have personally found with my 8310 Curve is that if I don't do a wipe using CrackMem (also found in my sig) and just load the OS over the existing one, it puts my phone into a continuous reboot and bricks it. It has happened to me twice.

By using CrackMem to wipe and install the new OS everything went perfectly and I'm running 4.5.0.124 with no problems whatsoever. Apparently my Curve is finicky.

    Just a thought,
