I am new to this. Just learned to assign pictures and different ringtones to people in my phonebook. When I synch my phone (8330) with my computer - I take my info from my pc's Outlook phonebook, calendar, etc - the pix and ringtones disappear. I have to reassign them all over again. The general ringtone I've assigned for general calls does not get re-programmed.
Well when you set up your sync with DM you can have a choice of syncing the phone to the computer or the computer to the phone. It sounds like the computer is winning when there is a question about a contact. Maybe try to change the settings in your DM.

I checked my synchronization configuration and it was set as Outlook Wins. Handheld Wins didn't make any sense since the info gets input thru Outlook. Ignore all Conflicts would not allow me to update address changes (I guess) and Add All Conflicts would seem to lead to lots of duplicates which would include old and new addresses. So....I chose Notify Me.
