OK, I know I'm not the first and I have read some of the horror stories on a couple of threads, but I would really like some advice.

I chipped my 8310 screen with of all things the flap to the holster! urghhhhh!!! I heard it hit like a pebble would on your windshield. Ther chip is not noticeable, but I of course see it all the time. I purchased the phone a week ago...thinking of returning it for a replacement, can I do that or will they send me to the manufacturer? OR should I just accept that it is inevitable that a phone such as the blackberry will ventually get scratched, nicked and dinged?

I appreciate any thoughts on the matter.....

I would get it replaced since it's only a week old.
Yes, eventually the phone will get some minor scratches...
But a chip in the screen is a little bit of a bigger deal...IMO.

Ouch! If I'm not mistaken you can relpace the screen. You can find replacement parts if you do a search for some of the recomended online stores.

If I decide to do it myself rather than returning it.....is replacing the screen a difficult thing to do?
