I have a bb curve 8320 and have been trying to log into yahoo messenger, but can't. I don't have the data plan, but I have wi-fi on my phone so it should work whenever I get a signal. However, when I try to login, I get 'Service not enabled for this handheld'. Can someone help me out?

Hey I believe that all of the pre-installed IM apps REQUIRE a data plan. Unless you install a 3rd Party IM app (like Beejive) you can't IM with Wi-Fi Only. Beejive, n there may be others, is one way to use all of your IM accounts over Wi-Fi Only... but it's a paid app (one time pay, not monthly).

To use yahoo messenger on wifi you have to have a data plan. Sorry but most third party apps like that require you to have one. Dont know about beejive since I ont use it but I'm sure zarzamora is correct.
