    My friend just got an Alltell Curve 8330. Her messages came factory set already as "seperate". Now every time she gets a text or an email the messages icon lights up in the top. But on my old 8310 it did not do this. It just showed up under the SMS/MMS icon. How do I get the new message icon to disappear? I just want it to alert her for the SMS/MMS only.

    I had this problem with my Storm at first and I did a battery pull and it solved the problem
