About 3 days ago I cleared my internet data. Apperently that resets ny home page. I tried to change it back by going under options<browser config, and I can't type in the http for my home page. I took the battery out to see if that would work, still nothing. I also switched back to the default theme, thinking maybe that was the problem, but still nada.

Is there any other way of doing this?
Sorry for the newb question, lol.

    Thanks

How to fix your home page.

    1) Open your browser and go to google or something other than the BB page.
    2) Press Menu / Options / Browser Configuration and change your home page to what you want.
    3) Press Menu / Options / General properties and change default font size to something else.
    4) Close the browser by clicking Menu then close. Don't use the back button to close.
    5) Open browser, it should go to your new home page.
    6) Change your font size back to whatever it was.

Try going to a full html site like craigs list not a mobile site.

I'm out of ideas. Your the first one that this has not worked.

I suspect I have the same problem as Vortec 5.3.

Inside "Browser configuration" I can set the "browser" to "Blackbery Browser" or "Internet Browser" or "Media Net". I can change the home page for "Internet Browser" but cannot change it for "Blackberry Browser". It just will not let me edit that field.

Whenever I am using the browser, it seems to use those "Blackberry Browser" settings, meaning I am stuck with the home page I don't want, cannot access my bookmarks, and cannot type in another web address (the Bookmarks and GOTO are not available on the options menu). I have shortcuts for web sites (e.g. NY Times) on my desktop, so I can go directly to a web site, but still cannot seem to access the Internet browser features.

I think all of these hassles could be avoided if I could just get and keep the browser in internet browser mode. I have that set as my default browser, but it has no effect.

The trick of changing the default browser font actually does work most of the time, to kick me back into Internet browser mode. It works for one or two sessions, then goes back to not working. Then, I have to change the default font several more times to kick it back into Internet mode.

On further testing, I find that whenever I open the browser using my NY Times or Wash. Post shortcuts, it apparently goes back into this mode where my home page is the Blackberry Browser, and bookmarks and goto are unavailable. I have another app that lets me open other site directly from outside the browser. If I use that, I can go back into the "internet" mode and have my home page, as well as my bookmarks and goto options. It is an annoying multi-step process, but the only one I have found to work.

    Very Frustrating!!!
