is there any way to do that? I want to protect all my messages ,so it requires a passowrd to open them Or lets say is there a possibility to show like 10 messages only while rest are hidden? Or is there a way to hide messages from been displayed in the messages folder from a paricular number ?

Your best bet is to lock the device when not in use...

yes thats already there to have it auto locked after a minute. Is there anything for messages too? For exxample we can have a passoword set to install an application. I was looking something like that, if there is any solution out there.

i am asking this because i dont know if you came across the same situation, but at times when some one uses my cell phone , to "check out" the features , the first thing they do is to read the messages. I wanted to figure something out for this

Sorry dude, nothing that I've heard of for this. Just don't let people you don't trust use your phone!

Is your wifey checking all the messages of your phone?

Just talk to borrowers that in case they want to check the features of your phone, be sure not to read the messages as part of your privacy

Another option hit menu save the message and move your "Saved messages" folder to another folder then unless who ever has a blackberry and knows about the saved message folder they probably wont find them
