    I will be getting a curve 8330 and I need to know can i just recieive SMS without a data plan or can I also recieve and send MMS.(PICTURE)..And how much is a data plan the least one. I just wanna send and recive MMS and SMS. How much and can i? I have Verizon

    You don't need a data plan to send/receive SMS & MMS.

    But without data, a Blackberry is overkill for what you want to do. Save some money and just get an entry level phone with a keyboard.

    You cannot activate a BlackBerry on VZW without a data plan of at least $29.99/month.

    The data plan is required.
