Can I remove numbers off of my phone without the software to put on computer & sim?
- I need to get my phone numbers off of my phone and or sim card, I dont know which one they are on.
I would like to remove them and place them on my computer, but I would also like to move them all to my sim card as well.
Is there an easy way to synch all phone numbers to the sim card in one motion?
or would I have to do them one by one?
Also I have no battery (but can get one if need be) will the curve turn on if its plugged in with no battery?08-27-08 12:37 PMLike 0 - Pete6Retired ModeratorThe BlackBerry stores its Address Book data in the phone and not on the SIM card.
A SIM card can only store two fields Name, Number. The BlackBerry stores all sorts of stuff (several phone numbers, addresses, ringtone data, etc. - per entry) so using the SIM is not an option.
You shoudl sync your phone to Outlook regularly and this will keep your data safe an current.
SIM card data may be copied one-entry-at-a-time unless you are running OS 4.5 to the Device Memory.08-27-08 01:16 PMLike 0 - hmm. Alright, well the sim card is not a way I want to go after your explaination.
So is there any way to still remove all data from the phone without using the BB software?
Does the phone work plugged in but no battery?
I dont use outlook, I am going to be using Opera, so I am going to need to look into moving them to that browser if its possible without the BB software.08-27-08 02:27 PMLike 0 - What is needed to pull contacts out of phone and put into preferably opera, but worse case, outlook?08-28-08 08:17 AMLike 0

The phone will not work with no battery even if it is plugged in to the wall charger.
You can use Outlook Experess (Windows Mail in Vista) but that deos not have a Calendar. You can also sync to Yahoo and Gmail.
It is possible that Desktop Manager will recognise Opera as a valid email/Contacts/Calendar client but I am not sure about this.08-28-08 08:39 AMLike 0
