I live in an area where Verizon has some dead spots, but another provider in the area has coverage. The other provider shows up as "extended network" so I am not being charged for roaming. The problem is that Verizon has just enough signal in some areas to not let the phone switch to extended network. Is there a way to force the phone to the extended network?

    Thanks

Which OS version are you running? If you're running a version prior to 4.5, go to Options - Mobile Network and set Network Selection Mode to Roam Only.

I have 4.5 and don't see that option either. I would like to know how to force my 8330 to roam. My previous carrier (US Cellular) had excellent signal and coverage where I work but Verizon has a dead spot (1 bar at most) and my 8330 stays locked on that signal and I have no voice sevice at work. Im hoping there is a fix for this.

I don't think Verizon has that option, but you should call them for verification.
