I only changed the outer part & when I was puting on the bottom part my hand slipped & voilla scratched it big time. It still works but not nearly as good of reception as before.


The good thing is that I still have the other case so I can get it fixed. I hadn't even thought of that

What you need to purchase is called a midplate. It will have an
antenna on it. Aside from cnn.cn (China) I have no idea where
you can get one in the US.

For the 8310. This is the correct one with the GPS antenna. Kind of expensive. How badly torn is your antenna tape?

It's not really torn but scratched, & it's a pretty big scratch. I have never dropped a call until this happened & now I've been dropping quite a few. I can't deal with that. I have a backup berry but this is my pink one & I love her. . I've found one place that may be able to help me out here at home. I'm going there tomorrow but I may use the link you sent me. I'm that desparate.
