So you click the camera icon, you find the picture you want to take, but to the bottom right I see a symbol, its looks like a ""sunburst" with and "!" in the middle of it...

Anyone know what this icon means? Could it be low light or what?

    I think it is a low-light indicator.

I just checked and I think it has to do with the automatic flash setting.

If you see this icon, it means the flash is on for the next picture you might be taking. haha

Nope don't think its flash has to be low light indicator I guess, flash I think is the lighting bolt and "A" by it which means automatic flash I'm guessing again...

Haha, I have to disagree, and here's why.

The icon is there on this display:

Here's the respective picture, because captureit doesn't take what the camera sees:

^dark place (under my desk haha)

And here is in a very well lit place:

    And the respective picture.

Moral: the low light indicator means the flash will be on for the next picture.

Ok so here's the deal I get your pics... Explain this to me then...your lighting bolt didn't have an a by it either. I thought the lighting bolt with the a was for automatic flash...
So break down the actual meanings of the 3 symbols.
Lighting bolt wit and w/o "A"=
The sunburst with the "!" In it=

I did a battery pull and my "a" was there now. my camera acts up all the time on my bb. but the settings are on automatic flash. the sunburst "!" means flash is active. like "! your flash is going to FLASH!" type deal. lighting bolt with A is autoflash, and just the lighting bolt means flash is on.

Idk what happened with me. The light bulb picture and corresponding camera view contradict each other. the view finder says flash was on just the lightingbolt (flash is on) but the flash never went off.

Not quite. If the flash is turned off you will just get very dark picture.
The phone will not automatically reactivate it.
The icon is only there to tell you that there is insufficient light.

Haha, thanks AG. I always had my flash on auto, and without fail, that icon has only been there when the flash went off. I never thought of that.

Ok I see now, lighting bold with A means auto flash, the sunburst with "!" Means low light level
