I updated the software on my phone and lost my browser icon and browser capability. Kept getting the message that there were no service books. I tried *228 pressed 1 and successfully updated my phone through Verizon. This did not restore my browser. I shut the phone off, removed the battery, reinstalled the battery and let the phone reboot and update itself. Voila! Browser icon was back and browser working again.
go to options>adavanced options>host routing table>blackberry key>register device. it will than say registration message sent. hit ok and navigate to home screen. if you have a 1XEV in the upper rite corner youll see the browser come back.
