So I was doing the software update and I loss usb connection now all that shows up is a red light that flashes twice, repeatly. Is the phone bricked or is there a way to reset and recover it. I do have a backup from last night so I'm not worried about losing data.

Try this.

Connect your phone to the PC
Run this little routine by saving it as loader.bat and then double clicking it.

set rim=C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion
cd %rim%
cd Apploader
ren Vendor.xml Vendor.xmm
loader /nojvm
ren Vendor.xmm Vendor.xml
exit

This will force a rest of the device and start the OS load again.

If this fails there is more we can do.

That failed as well, now its saying that the usb device is not reconized even after I restarted my computer. Ok turms out that some usb cables dont like my computer. I grabbed another one and the load seemed to work. Thanks
