Recently I purchased a HP Mini and have been using my MicroSD card to transfer files between two of my laptops, and I have been using my BB Curve 8310 without the memory card. It just so happens that after boot up and while going through the security check it is so much faster than it is with the MicroSD card in the phone ... Is there an explanation for that or is it just the way things go?
I believe the BB keeps some kind of "index" of some kind of what's on the memory card. I think this is the case because every time you add something new to the card, the BB knows it and you get the "scanning for media" message.
