I am wondering when it's referring to "os" is it referring to the platform or app version. Also when it says file free and has the number 83623936 bytes is that 83 mega bytes ? yes right? Having trouble watching youtube videos any ideas?

OS refers to app version, and yes that is 83.6 MB. I don't know about the Youtube videos. Same thing happened to my friend, but he just returned that one and Sprint gave him a new 8330. But how do you have 83 MB of file free memory? I'm pretty sure that's not possible since that's the max memory on the 8330 curve, and the OS alone take's up a pretty good amount of that memory.

Um... I lean towards an extra number in there. I have my OS stripped down pretty good and only the apps I need on a daily basis added in, and I'm running at ~15mb free (15812688 currently). There is only 96mb to start with, and OS5 takes a large chunk of that. I am guessing that you're running at ~8.6mb free...

I'm running OS 5.0.0.438. Followed the tutorial on "Memory Optimization Procedure" in the "How to tips and tricks" section. And have 32mb at fresh boot. Well worth the effort. Op needs to go Menu/Options/Memory and look under File Free Memory.
