hey guys,
im pretty new to this. i just would like a general idea of the best way to unlock a blackberry 8310. is it possible to do it for free? is there a sim-card way of doing it? is it possible rogers will give me an unlock code if someone with a rogers account calls them? any tips would be nice.

You will have to order an unlock code from a vendor...there are plenty of vendors on the net and on ebay as well...just do a search.

Rogers does not give out unlock codes any more.

Good advise, getting one from Rogers is not an option, you will need to hire a reliable service to get it for you.

They need both your IMEI and PIN numbers, you get an emailed code in a couple of days. The instructions are simple to follow from there.

Are you planning on using it outside of Rogers coverage area, like the US?

well i would like to use it on the fido network (i realize they dont have blackberry internet service) for now, and when i return home to the states perhaps i will get blackberry service then.
