Are there benefits to scheduling a time for your BB
to be turned off? Does this aid the performance?
I have noticed a decrease in available memory after
a scheduled off/on. Is this normal? What is best?
    Thank you.

Never done it but I would guess that the advantage would be you save battery power. Disadvantage you won't get email or calls when the blackberry is off.

I have it shut down from 3am to 4am. This way I get a reset at least once a day, and there is at least an hour when I'm not getting a blinking LED adulterating my dream state.

I use the Auto On/Off every night. It extends battery use and lets me sleep peacefully through the night.
