Guys I have downloaded the trial of BBAlerts to my Curve. I customized the software but It seems that when I receive a call or SMS its not displaying the customized colors and settings...

How do i get this to work... before my trial period runs out?

No the color "thing" works fine on the Curve! did ya try a battery pull after installation?

Also, make sure you leave the program running. That might sound like a dumb thing not to do, but I was closing it out when I first got it. I found out that you need to keep it open for it to work.

Yeah good advice, it DOES help!

Also, the alert light flashes when the alert comes in, but I think after that, it only flashes again periodically for the same alert and not constantly.

It flashes constantly till you acknowledge the alert, the alert repeat reminder that you have set for BB for the intervals will alert you ie mine BBAlert profile is vibrate every 3 mins, so it will still flash till I clear it, but it will vibrate till I do.

I thought BB Alerts had the SMS message pop up on the Home screen, is that true or was I thinking of something else?

There are many programs that has the SMS pop up, Peekawho, Aerize Alerts, ...

Thanks... I just did that..but still wont show the assigned colors for incoming SMS....

Go to profiles>advanced profiles>hit menu>edit>BB alerts will be listed. Set LED to flashing...

In the menu options it was set to "Separated Profile" I Changed it to Profile..... but still the same..... No Colors

In BB Alerts, when you hit menu>assign colors, do you have LED color mode set to: Color cycle?

This is also very obvious, but i have to ask, is Missed SMS checked in the BBA options? Might have inadvertently missed it..

I just installed BBAlerts a coupla days ago, and on their site, their instructions say 'repeat notification' should be set to 'none'...this may be the problemo...try setting it to "none". I have mine set to "none" and all works fine.

I dont think it matters, all of mine are set to led flashing and it works LOL
