Wifi is wireless internet connection that you can pick up if someone has a wireless router. Sorry I'm not good at explaining.

No that's a good explination. Another question thou, isn't the wifi the same thing as the web browser or the opera mini ? Sorry for the dumb questions, but this is helping me better understand the BB world.
    Thanx

No it's not the same. Wifi is a connection while the web browser and opera are for surfing the web

In my opinion the 8320 is the better one to have. Mainly cause of the wi-fi (but beware the wifi won't run any 3rd party apps). This model however does not have gps. The 8310 has the gps and no wi-fi. So from there is just personal opinion for which you'd prefer

I personally love my 8300. I really have no use for GPS as I live on an island and pretty much know how to get everywhere. And as for WiFi...the EDGE network has been acceptable, speed wise, for my needs. I guess it all comes back to your preferences. Good luck!

When I picked out my Curve 8300... I noticed the 8310.... Not sure about other carriers, but for AT&T the 8300 only comes in silver while the 8310 is available in both titanium (like a gunmetal grey) or red.

I really wanted the titanium color for no other reason but the color, but the store only had the silver.... So I left the store, a proud new BB owner, but still pining for the titanium.

After doing a bit of research, I learned that the 8310 had GPS capabilities. So about two weeks later, I went back the AT&T store and swapped out my 8300 for the 8310.... And I'm glad I did.

The biggest advantage I've seen is the fact that Google Maps is now more accurate. Since it's using GPS and not cell-tower triangulation, 'My Location' is now accurate to 8 meters (about 26 1/2 ft.) instead of 1900 meters (about 6270 ft.). Now I'm more confident when using Google Maps - And it's free

I'm not sure how well the Wi-Fi on the 8320 works out, but from the posts I've seen, it doesn't seem to be too reliable.

If you really like the 8310 in red... Go for it.... And as an added bonus, Google Maps will work much better!

    Just my two cents....

We are just the opposite, my wife got the 8310 and I purcased the 8320 two days ago. She took back the 8310 for the 8320 because of the faster response, easier keyboard and for us at least EXCELLENT wifi. We can use Hotspots@Home for unlimited calls and it works excellent.

I thought the keyboards were/are exactly the same, and the only difference is internal.

Incidentally, I have the 8320 and the wifi is very nice for downloads (video, for example) and sending emails with photo attachments (these can take a while). For web browsing, I don't notice such a huge improvement.

They are exactly the same, I think that he is confusing the model numbers. He is talking about the curve vs. the pearl, not the tmobile curve vs. the att curve.

I have the 8320, but if Tmobile had both I would definitely have the 8310, I would prefer gps over wifi. But it is really just personal preference. I don't care much though because I love the curve, so I would take the 8300, 8320, or the 8310.

I have the BB 8300 and pretty much have no use for the GPS and it serves its purpose just fine. I can't complain considering I just put down the T-mobile MDA.

I have an 8320 and love it for the wifi and UMA. When I'm in areas with less than desireable cell reception it isn't a problem as long as there's a wifi connection.

Wi-fi allows a device to connect to the internet when it is within range of a wireless network. So, if you have the 8320 (I do) and you are near a Starbucks, Barnes and Noble bookstore or any other unsecured wi-fi location(airports, restaurants, etc) even a neighbors home, you can access the internet and make/receive calls over the wireless network all without using your BIS/ISP carrier plan minutes!

I had the 8300 and when I got it changed I got the 8310 since the fone company don't have the 8300 anymore.

I don't need wifi, gps etc so it didn't matter which Curve. As long as its a Curve

If you really want the Crimson color seen on the 8310.. check out cnn.cn .. you can buy replacement housing for either the 8300,8310, or 8320. Those are interchangeable.. whereas the 8330 seems to have the indicator light in a different place. The switch voids your warranty, but isn't too difficult. Some people prefer not to mess around with their BB in this way though. Colorware is another option.. although rather pricey. The good thing is you can choose pretty much any color combination!

I replaced the housing on a my 8320 and it looks great and works fine!

8320 to me is the best, basically all three are the same, except 8310 has the gps, and the 8320 has the wifi, and generally i know I'm going, so it was easy for me to choose the 8320. As the guy before me said you can change the housing to make it red if you really want to.
