Using Tmo 8320 with Orange 4.5 release:8320M_PBr4.5.0_rel75_PL2.7.0.66_A4.5.0.52_ Orange

did everything as instructed in the tutorial and when i connect my bb to DM 4.5 it doesn't ask to be upgraded and the same thing when I go to application loader, what can be the problem?

Did you delete the vendor.xml file?

    c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

Delete that "vendor.xml" file, open up desktop manager and it should pop up about the upgrade. Run application loader all the way through if it doesn't.

Follow the guide in my signature for Proper Upgrade / Downgrade Procedure.

The vendor.xml could be a likely cause!

Be patient, you'll be sittin there awhile Probably 10 minutes or so, depending on where your status bar is at. It'll be fine, don't worry

A full upgrade can take an hour, do not interrupt it.

Yup!! The Connecting to Device stage can take upwards to 45 minutes. It all depends... so be patient and do not unplug the device
