sort of... however I've been really using my a lot since i just got it. Seems like it will only last 1 day (12 hrs) with heavy use. I assume this is typical however?

Ok man, i had the same issues when i initially got my curve. Mine was more drastic though, i would go to bed with 100% topped off battery and woke up with 15% and i only slept like 6 hours. At first i thought i had a defective battery but realized i had multiple applications running that i just backed out of and didnt actually close out. At that point i had no idea that you could multitask to that degree lol. Could this be the case for you?

no. not to be rude. totally not my intention
i'm a systems tech for geico. i know how to troubleshoot.
i closed out of any apps before bed and then did a bat pull
and fell asleep with it rebooting

What kind of reception do you have in your bedroom? If you have little to no signal your phone will eat up a lot of juice searching for the network. I have drained a battery in less than 3 hours in an area with bad coverage. Maybe you cold turn the radio off before bed and see what happens. At the very least you will know if it is an application accessing the network that is draining your battery.

If you have only had the phone a few weeks i would just call your provider. I did the same even thought the problem was on my end and i still got a free battery out of it!! :-) So even thought i had apps running draining my battery, i ended up getting a free one outta my own negligence lol. Now i got a brand new battery in my curve, and one with a 50% charge sittin in my room. Happy times

Herpagonacyphlaids. Worst STD your blackberry can get ...

EDIT - I actually have been experiencing the exact same problem and I make sure to close every app. It doesn't happen every night, but probably about every other night and my curve is fairly new as well.

A short-term solution would be to just leave it plugged in and charging all night. It won't hurt it.

You may also want to try turning off your GPS receiver at night. I have no idea if that would work for you, but it's worth a try.

but seriously. i reinstalled it hoping it was a corrupt install. and if it does it again tonight i'll be upset cause it is a great app.

Odd, I also have beyond411. Maybe that's what's been killing my battery as well. However, if that was the real reason why would it only happen every other night? It's never 2 nights in a row.
