I'm not sure about the office app so I can't comment on that. I'm running Bluetooth all the time so that's on 24/7, average about 600 e-mails a day and 100 sms's a day, Jivetalk is 24/7, Pocket Express is updating every 4 hours. Every day I'm seeing that getting the 8800 over the curve was the better play for me.

Maybe someone else has another answer for you.

More memory, no camera is what I saw right off the bat. I'm sure there's more but don't remember off the top of my head.

Well the thing you might want to do is use Standby a lot when your phone is not in use.. I was playing with mine a lot last night and decided to charge my battery from 15% this morning, but I was at 20% for 2 hours today by just throwing it in Standby *hold the mute button on top* and that puts it into Standby...

tends to eat battery a bit faster then any of the previous 3 bb's that I have owned, or maybe I just use it more. In any event as I have amassed a ton of charges through the years it is no big deal to have a charger just about anywher I spend time.

At first I had the same problem as the original poster. I took my curve back and they swapped the battery because it may have been defective.

    But before you return it.
let the battery drain totally then recharge fully...do that twice, they say it trains the battery.

You must buy a holster with an auto sleeper function.

I've noticed that talking on the phone drains the battery faster than anything else (internet, email etc)

I now get 1 day and a half out of my curve but at first I would get half of a day.

I had similar problem with short battery life. I went to Options --screen/keyboard and changed the backlight brightness down to 30 which seems just fine for use and added days to battery life.
